Description: H.M.T which stands for halo map tools is a modding tool used for editing halo pc and halo trial maps. with hmt you can edit weapons,edit vehicles,change tags,import tags,and rebuild a map.

HMT's tag importing and map rebuilding section aren't really used anymore since eschaton's release. where as eschaton can import tags & rebuild a map automatically, and hmt can't. any attempt in importing tags and rebuilding a map with hmt you will have to do manually.. it is a painstaking process and therefore no one uses this part of hmt anymore.

Description: Sparkedit ,a great modding tool, for use with only halo pc and halo trial allows you to ,move delete,add, and see the items within the map you have opened. sparkedit allows you add items such as scenery,weapons,vehicles,etc.

you can duplicate item already in the map, or  replace the items within the map with other items under it's class tag. either it be weapons,scenery,vehicles,etc.
though the program was only built to open halo pc map, modders have found ways to  also open halo trial maps with patches or patching program(s).

in th is download  i have included both patches for bloodgulch & b30 maps of halo trial, as well as the unpatch patches. (you don't really need these patches included within this download. you can use them if you'd like but, but  a simple patching tool named Demo Hack can be used to patch halo trial maps easier. see demo hack tool below.)

Description: Demo Hack is a great map patching tool which allows you to load and patch a halo trial map so that it can be opened with modding tool such as sparkedit,hmt,hht,and so on. 

this will not work with trying to make a halo full version map a halo trial map as it is not that simple.

Description: hht is basically another great tool as hmt, they share the same amount of similarity, with a slight difference. hht has tag importing, but it is not clear that it is able to rebuild a map. there isn't and hasn't been any talk through out modding about tag importing or map rebuilding.

there isn't much description on this modding tool simply other that hht has a better user interface to work with than hmt.. it's basic user interface makes it simple to use.
